Our Explore Himalaya executive will receive you at NJP and from there on our journey towarsd our base camp will commence. The 4-5 hour drive will give you a good space to clear your mind for the upcoming challenges on the trek. Reach the base camp and take rest. You can discuss the route details with the trek leader and do some basic exercises to preapre yourself for the trek. Enjoy your scrumptious dinner. Overnight stay in Jaubhari.

Wake up and relish your breakfast. The trail today is a combination of gradual and steep ascents and level walks. When you will get a sight of Buddhist prayer flags, it means you have reached Chittrey Monastery. You can take a break here. We will continue our journey till we reach lamayadhura. At Lamyadhura, the forest opens up to a lovely meadow. The motor road can be seen constantly, with cabs taking tourists to Sandakphu and Phalut. The road going straight from Meghma leads to Tonglu. The trail from here to Tumling is a 2 km flat walk on the motor road, and takes 30–40 minutes. We are going to end the day with appetising meals in dinner. Overnight stay in Tumling.

After the morning breakfast, we can move out of the camps to get a view of the sleeping buddhas. The sun rays are pure gold. Bask in the morning sun to restore your energy for the rest of the chilly day. We are going to proceed from Tumling to Kalipokhri. As you move forward, you will enter the Singalila National park. Here you can get an option of hiking trail or motor road. If you are a explorer at heart, then go for the hiking trail here you can get glimpse of dense forests and meadows and chirrping birds, which is largely missing in motor road. Moving forward on our journey, we will reach a small village of Gairibas. Here you can find hotels and accomodation options and restuarants. You can enjoy the local food here and continue the journey. We will reach a point where the cars and human settlement would lessen up in number. Again we are going to spot the buddhist flags. This is Kalipokhri, which translates to Black Lake. There is a small Buddhist temple at the opposite end of the lake. We will set up our camp and prepare our delicious dinner here to retire for the night.

This is going to be a farily easy day. We are going to move from Kalipokhri to Sandakphu. The trail begins on the motor road. We will move from Bhagsa to Bikheybhanjang. We can travel the whole distance in less than an hour's time. Take a break if you wish to because in the next couple of hours we will climb through the steep incline. An hour’s steep ascent on the second route followed by around 15 minutes of level walk brings you to a place where trails from Nepal and India converge and further break up. You can sight huts and tea stalls dotting the Sandakphu landscape. The panormic views will leave you at standstill and make you quiver with its beauty. The mountain peaks are so picturesque, it would leave you spellbinded. If you want to see the snow covered peaks then winter is the time go. We will relish our dinner and retire for the night.

We are going to start our journey as early as possible. There is too much distance that needs to be covererd The trails are the best you will encounter on this trek in terms of scenic beauty and mutliplicity of vegatation on the mountain plains. You will walk on ridges and through meadows, and maybe even run down a few slopes with the wind blowing through your hair. You may also spot yaks in between. So keep an eye for the animals and birds. We will go through the acent and decent on our trekking trails. It can be exhausting, we will try to keep our climb steady. This stretch takes around 3 to 4 hours till you find yourself at Forest Check Post of Sabarkum. We are going to halt and prepare our campsite. This is where we will retire for the night.

We will wake up to a wonderful breakfast. Gain some energy and get going on our trekking trails. Starting from Sabargram to Phalut is a 7 km zigzag route, which generally takes around 2.5 hours. There are a series of gradual descents and level field walks, each coming in intervals of 15 minutes. Don't lose focus and keep your mind centered on the trail. After this is a 1/2 km flat meadow walk followed by 1 km of steep climb, .Look out for the trekkers’ hut on your way. From this point, you will reach Phalut by climbing steadily for about half an hour. The view point is on the hillock to your left. Reach there early to get majestic views of the entire panorama of mountains and peaks. From Phalut, The trail passes through jungles, with several openings. In the initial stretch of the descent, you will be able to view Pandim, Tenzingkhang, Japanu, and Narsing through the openings. Continue on this trail for around 10 km to reach Gorkhey. The final stretch to reach the village is a steep descent through fields. Upon arriving in Gorkhey, you can take a walk in the village and see the rich nautral beauty it beholds. We are going to spend a beautiful evening here and get ready for the delicious dinner meals. Overnight stay in Gorkhey.

This is the last day of our trip so we are going to make sure that we end it on a high note. Enjoy your breakfast and then we are going to move out in the wilderness of Gorkhey Village.Starting early from Gorkhey and proceed to Sepi via Ramam. The trail from Gorkhey to Ramam is through a forest with bumpy pathway. On the way, you will pass Samamden, a very pretty village with quaint wooden huts and lush fields. Spend some time here, if you wish and then we will set out for departure to NJP / Bagdogra.
