Stok Kangri Trek

You can reach Leh by Air or by road but to reach Leh via road (Srinagar to Leh/Manali to Leh) is itself a trek, as it takes many days and drains out your vital energy. All major airlines have flights operational from New Delhi, Jammu and Srinagar and the view of Himalayan peaks from flight is amazing. You can reach Leh in the morning to board the guest house and explore the city or reach at night and take rest. Have a delicious dinner and retire for the night.

After a hot cup of tea in morning. Enjoy your healthy breakfast. The scenic and cultural beauty of Leh and its surrounding will make you fall in love with nature. It is vital to acclimatize after arriving at Leh before you go out to higher altitudes. For getting used to such altitudes, start off with a little bit of exercise and stretches, as cold tends to slow down your body movements. Explore the city on foot, Enjoy the most beautiful mornings. After breakfast, Explore Himalaya.org tour guide will give you briefing on the activities ahead. The trekking starts with a drive to Stok village. During the ride you will come across many beautiful and exotic scenes full of lush green trees and colourful flowers. Stok village is situated to the south of Leh and is well known for its royal places and the King of Ladakh who resides here. After a trek of around 4 hours, we will reach Chang Ma our last destination for the Day. Come back for dinner and overnight stay in Camp.

In Today Trek we will traverse through the rough and barren Landscape of Ladakh. The Landscape is astonishingly beautiful, and the huge mountain add glory to it. Grey barren Lands make Ladakh the Highest cold desert on the planet. You will have to pass many small streams, putting your leg into icy cold water is thrilling. Today's trek is fairly easy, you can reach Mankorma in 3 hours. Enjoy the sizzling dinner and overnight stay in Camp.

After Healthy breakfast, we will start our journey to Stok Kangri Base Camp. Its 5 Hour Trekking Journey and the trek is beautiful in its own way. The area has many water bodies around it, and when the sun rays fall on it, they sparkle like a diamonds. Reach the base camp temperature here is considerably less than the other places in the trek after having lunch and an hour of rest, go the nearby mountain peaks of Gulap Kangri, Parcha Kangri and Many others this will make your day and prepare you for the final expedition

Today you can enjoy the time by visiting nearby areas and knowing the Place to a much better extent. But don't take this rest day to sit inside your camp. It is very important to know about every aspect of teamwork and the techniques involved in climbing a peak filled with snow. Your trek leader will guide you for the upcoming climb. Snow trekking boots are necessary as it is slippery on the outside. Your guide will brief you about the trek plan or the next few days, remember it clearly. After the end of the training period, you will have enough time to take rest. The upcoming expedition will surely be highly challenging but will provide immense joy and self-confidence when you make it to the summit.

It is the day when we will climb to the apex of the mountain. At base camp there are many trekking groups, so you can interact with any of these groups. Waking up early is crucial for determining the start time. The route goes through glaciers, then through period of ascent and descent and finally comes to the Stok Kangri ridge. Avoid drinking too much of water. the route will start off with a steep and quite tall ascent and the first few hours will be tough. The return to the base camp follows the same route, but you should be extremely cautious and extra careful this time. Reach base camp overnight stay and dinner at camp

This is the final day of your fantastic trekking vacation; the unbelievable journey which had all the elements of a high altitude trekking will be over after this day. The first-hand mountaineering and expedition experience it provides is comparable to none. Heading out of the base camp, the trip ends in Leh.

The morning brings us to an end of a wonderful trip. You will be required to checkout from Hotel. Follow up on your departure arrangements and take home the sweet memories of Leh-Ladakh.
