The trip starts from Guwahati airport, Drive to Cherrapunjee, Visit the very beautiful Umiam Lake & Enjoy Lunch of North East at a decent restaurant on the way. visit Elephant Fall on the way. Reach Cherrapunjee by the evening. This place in Meghalaya is one of the wettest places on the planet and the only place in India to receive rain throughout the year. The town of Cherrapunjee is nestled in the East Khasi Hills about 50 km southwest of the state’s capital, Shillong. Cherrapunji, also known as Sohra or Churra, means ‘the land of oranges. The cliffs of Cherrapunjee also offer stunning views of the plains of Bangladesh. Get checked into hotels/Guest House/Homestay. Overnight dinner and stay at Cherrapunjee.
Today we will start our trip early morning after breakfast, Today will be an adventurous day. 40-minute Drive to Tyrna village, the start points of the trek to Living roots bridge & rainbow falls. Trek down to Nongriat village and natural marvel of Living Roots bridge. Visit rain bow falls, take a dip in the waterfall, Enjoy the nature and we will return back to Cherrapunjee by late evening for Dinner & overnight stay.
Today the list of sightseeing places are long and we have entire day to cover, we are going to cover some of the most beautiful waterfalls in Cherrapunjee, After Breakfast we will first visit Dainthlen Falls, Mawsawa Falls, Janailar Falls, Lyngksiar Falls, Explore Rangshan, then we will go for tallest plunge waterfall of India the magnificent Nohkalikai falls, After Lunch visit Seven sister waterfalls, On the way to Kynrem falls visit Mawsmai Cave, Devils dive waterfall & Gaint Conical rock.
Wake Up to a beautiful morning in the hills. After breakfast in the morning, we will go to see the famous Mawllynnong Village, considered to be the cleanest village in Asia, After exploring Mawlynnong for few hours, Head to Shnongpdeng village located along the banks of Umngot River famous for it’s clean & crystal-clear water. Explore the amazing border town of Dawki. Overnight camping by the riverside & bonfire.
After an amazing recreational night stay in a riverside camp, get fresh, grab your breakfast & head for water adventure activities. Try adventure activities like Kayaking, Zip Lining, Cliff Jumping, etc. Head for Guwahati airport and on the way, visit Krang Suri Falls & Paradise falls. Reach Guwahati airport around 4 PM to catch your flight back.

Me and my sons 19 and 17 years, were desperate to do a cycling tour in India after our Nepal tour with Explore Himalaya.I was nervous doing this kind of trip in India. However, our guide Akshay had planned out the safest tour and he was very safety conscious. It was an enjoyable 8-day trip and though there were some nerve-wracking road rides, most of the trip was awesome with few to no traffic. Would definitely recommend Explore Himalaya to other travelers.
