Meghalaya Cycling Tour

On arrival at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport of Guwahati, meet our representative, transfer to your lodging for an overnight stay.

After morning tea we will start cycling toward our next destination. On the first day, 80% of our ride will be uphill ride with few short downhill stretch. Visit the very beautiful Umiam Lake. Stay in a lake resort.

After breakfast ride to Shillong, check into your hotel and later we will ride to Laitlum view Point, on the way explore the beautiful city- Shillong. Perched in the East Khasi Hills of Shillong, Laitlum Canyons is a little-explored haunt of the mountainous state of Meghalaya. Laitlum translates to ‘end of hills’ and this sublimely beautiful hilltop appears to be true to its name. At Laitlum, all one can see are breathtaking gorges and steep winding stairways that snake their way down to the lush valley. ride back to the hotel.

After breakfast, we will ride to once the wettest place on earth, Cherrapunjee is the next destination on this Meghalaya cycling trip. Often called by its alternative name, Sohra, this village receives an annual rainfall of around 460 inches. en-route visit Shillong Peak, which offers a bird’s eye view of the entire city and valley and Elephant Falls is a mountain stream gorging down two successive falls set in dells of fern covered rocks. The cliffs of Cherrapunjee also offer stunning views of the plains of Bangladesh. Overnight enjoy dinner & stay in a beautiful Homestay/Resort.

After early morning breakfast, start your ride to the starting point(Tyrna Village) of your trek to Double-Decker root bridge. You will have to go through around 3000 steps to reach this beautiful and unique root bridge. Overnight stay in Resort/Guesthouse.

Today we will explore some more waterfalls of cherrapunji like Dainthlen Falls, Mawsawa Falls, Janailar Falls, Lyngksiar Falls. return back to the property and grab your breakfast we will start riding towards Langkawat, a small village but with beautiful farms around.

After Morning breakfast we will continue our ride towards Asia cleanest Village Mawlynnong, the drive through cloud-kissed valleys from Cherrapunjee to Mawlynnong is a surreal experience. There's a saying that the journey is as beautiful as the destination in this part of the country. There are a number of view points en route that provide a glimpse into the spectacular green valleys and the breathtaking landscape that accompanies the traveler till the entry point of Mawlynnong Village, Visit Balancing rock, after reaching the village explore this beautiful village also referred as ‘God’s own garden’ has won the acclaim of being the cleanest village in Asia in 2003. After Lunch head to Dawki & Shnongpdeng village located along the banks of Umngot River famous for its clean & crystal-clear water. Overnight camping by the riverside & bonfire.

After an amazing recreational night stay in a riverside camp, grab your breakfast & head for water adventure activities. Try adventure activities like Kayaking, Zip Lining, Cliff Jumping, etc. You can grab your Lunch at Shnongpdeng Village. there are a number of viewpoints en-route, visit Krang Suri Falls, Paradise fall overnight stay & dinner in a guest house.
